Specialist manufacturing is built on technology, experience and people
stainlesstec is a medium-sized manufacturing specialist based in Hildesheim, Germany, producing demanding components and assemblies in stainless steel and aluminium.
We make individual parts, custom work, small batches and complex system components to drawing and CAD data – for customers for whom standard solutions are not enough. In doing so we combine modern, data-driven production technology with the experience of our skilled staff.
Because precision does not come from machines alone. It comes from people who know how to use them.
Specialised, not generalist
stainlesstec is not a conventional metalworking shop offering the widest possible range. Our production is geared to demanding technical components in stainless steel and aluminium:
complex sheet metal parts
welded assemblies
custom enclosures
components for machinery and plant
process and pressure vessels
customer-specific equipment
Our strength lies above all where several production steps come together and the component cannot be made to a standard recipe. Our services
One-off, small batch or recurring assembly
Not every industrial component is needed in large numbers. Many of our customers want a single special part, a prototype, a pre-production run, ten identical assemblies or modest quantities on a recurring basis. That is exactly what our shop floor is set up for. Small batches & custom work
From sheet metal to the finished system component
Our work does not necessarily stop at the individual part. Depending on the project, we combine several operations:
CAD and production planning
Laser cutting and punching
Bending and forming
Welding
Straightening
Surface finishing
Assembly
Testing
This turns individual sheets into largely complete assemblies and system components. For our customers that above all means fewer interfaces between different suppliers. Final assembly & complete products
Segregated production since 2008
A key step in the development of stainlesstec was the decision to process stainless steel and aluminium strictly separately from other metals. As early as 2008 the shop floor was committed to segregated stainless steel and aluminium production; certification to DIN EN ISO 9001 for stainless steel processing followed a year later.
Specialisation also means developing the shop floor continuously. Today we combine classic metalworking with CNC and laser technology:
laser cutting
laser punching
CNC bending
TIG and MIG welding
mechanised longitudinal seam welding
CNC-controlled 3D laser welding
straightening
surface finishing
assembly
What counts for us is not the length of the machine list: technology earns its keep when it connects different production steps sensibly.View our machinery
People who understand manufacturing
stainlesstec employs a team of around 60 people, together with twelve apprentices and many colleagues who stayed on after completing their training. Most have been with us for many years; staff turnover is low.
That is no side issue for us, because in custom work a considerable part of the quality comes from experience:
How does the material behave?
Which bending sequence works?
Where will welding cause distortion?
How can a sensitive surface be protected?
Which work sequence makes a design repeatable?
Knowledge like this takes years to build – and experienced staff pass it on to the next generation. People & skills
Training is part of how the company grows
stainlesstec trains apprentices in metalworking with a focus on construction technology – as an award-winning training company with a well-equipped training workshop. Apprentices regularly finish with distinction, and our training manager sits on the examination board himself.
That fits our understanding of manufacturing: know-how must not only exist – it has to be handed on.Apprenticeships at stainlesstec
Quality is organised
Demanding manufacturing needs traceable processes. stainlesstec therefore holds qualifications and certifications for a range of requirements – among them quality management, welding, pressure vessel construction and defence technology.

The direction of travel is clear: from stainless steel processing to specialist manufacturing of complex components and assemblies.
At home in Hildesheim
We produce in Hildesheim, a few minutes’ walk from the main railway station. Within a 50-kilometre radius we deliver on the day of manufacture using our own 7.5-tonne lorry and 3.5-tonne van.
For customers further afield we work only with selected hauliers – and as a rule only with those that deliver direct, so that damage during transhipment is ruled out from the start.
With large, delicate or surface-critical assemblies in particular, transport is part of the quality we deliver. Contact and directions
What defines stainlesstec
Specialised
Stainless steel and aluminium, not metalworking of every kind.
Flexible
Individual parts, custom work and small batches rather than mass production.
End to end
Many production steps within one coordinated process chain.
Experienced
Modern technology in the hands of people who understand manufacturing.
Your design. Our manufacturing.
Today stainlesstec works across a range of demanding applications – from machinery and plant engineering through food and process technology to high-technology and defence projects. What these tasks have in common: they rarely involve a part from a catalogue. They are about turning a design into a good component, reliably.
Send us your drawing or CAD data by email – together with material, batch size and your requirements. We will come back to you with a sound assessment.
