Components & process equipment

When sheet, tube and weld have to become a working component.

Customer-specific components to drawing and CAD data

Many technical components cannot be ordered from a catalogue. Dimensions, connections, material, surface and installation situation are specific to the project.

Sometimes a single part is needed, sometimes a recurring small batch – and often several processes have to come together before sheets and semi-finished products become a component ready to install.

stainlesstec makes customer-specific components and process equipment to drawing and CAD data – from a simple hopper through sieve and filter components to complex process and pressure vessels.

Vessels · sieves · filter housings · hoppers · enclosures · heat exchanger components

To drawing, not from a catalogue

Building process equipment usually starts with a specific installation situation. A vessel needs particular connections. A filter housing has to fit existing pipework. A sieve frame needs precisely defined dimensions and a particular mesh. A hopper has to pass material reliably into the next stage.

We therefore do not work from a fixed product range: your design defines the component. We take care of making it – from cutting through forming and welding to surface, assembly and project-specific testing.

Our components at a glance

Pressure & process vessels

Vessels for process, pressure, vacuum and special applications – with connections, internals, agitators or other functional elements as the project requires.

Process vessels · pressure vessels · agitated and mixing vessels · dosing vessels · tanks · vacuum chambers

Hoppers, cones & transitions

Round to round, square to round, asymmetrical or entirely customer-specific: transitions connect processes, machines and pipe cross-sections and have to fit existing plant cleanly despite complex geometry.

Hoppers · cones · reducers · transition pieces · inlet and outlet components

Sieves, sieve frames & filter components

A technical sieve is far more than a mesh: frame, perforated plate, wire mesh, fixing, weld and surface all have to work together.

Sieve frames · sieve baskets · filter screens · perforated plate structures · mesh inserts

Filter housings

Filter element and process have to match. We therefore make filter housings to customer specification – with project-specific dimensions, connections, lids, flanges and internals.

Food processing · pharmaceuticals & process · mechanical engineering · air and media handling

Custom enclosures, hoods & covers

Connections, visible surfaces, cooling, access, maintenance and assembly turn an apparently simple cover into a demanding structure.

Machine enclosures · guards · covers · housings · technical panelling

Heat exchanger components

Heat transfer places high demands on geometry, material and welded joints. We make customer-specific components for heat exchangers and temperature-controlled processes to customer data.

Shell components · heating and cooling jackets · tube and sheet components · connection areas

Thermal design and sizing remain with the responsible designer or plant contractor – we take care of making the part precisely.

From the individual part to the complete apparatus

In process equipment in particular, the value rarely comes from a single operation. A process vessel passes through, for example:

  • laser cutting
  • roll bending
  • bending
  • welding
  • connections and internals
  • surface finishing
  • assembly
  • tightness or pressure testing

The better those steps are matched to one another, the fewer interfaces you have to coordinate. We therefore think not in individual parts but in finished components.

Round, square or somewhere in between

Building process equipment is often about geometry. Many components combine different shapes:

  • round to square
  • differing diameters
  • angled outlets
  • conical transitions
  • eccentric connection positions
  • curved surfaces
  • complex weld geometries

For this we combine laser and punching technology, CNC bending, roll and section bending and a range of welding processes. The right strategy follows from the geometry in hand.

Material and application belong together

  • Stainless steel for corrosive, hygienic and high-grade applications – in food, pharmaceutical and process technology among others
  • Aluminium for lightweight enclosures and technical components
  • Special stainless grades for greater corrosion resistance, pressure applications or particular technical requirements

Other materials are assessed project by project. High-grade stainless steel and aluminium components benefit additionally from our segregated production.

When the surface is part of the function

On process equipment the surface is far more than appearance. It affects cleanability, hygiene, corrosion resistance, product adhesion, flow and looks.

It should therefore be settled early which areas are product-contact, what roughness or grit is required and how welds and transitions are to be finished. On demanding applications we build those requirements into production planning from the start.

Process equipment for a range of industries

Food processing technology

Vessels, sieves, hoppers, filter housings and air handling components for production and process plant.

Pharmaceutical & process technology

Process vessels, filter components, vacuum technology and special equipment with heightened requirements for material, surface and documentation.

Machinery & plant engineering

Enclosures, vessels, transitions and system components as part of complete machines and plant.

High technology & special applications

Customer-specific components with particular demands on geometry, material, tightness or surface.

One-off, prototype or small batch

Much process equipment is not a series product. It is made:

  • for one particular plant
  • as a replacement for an existing part
  • within a development project
  • in a range of variants
  • in small recurring quantities

That is exactly what our shop is set up for. CAD-based production planning means even individual components can be remade repeatably later or developed further under control.

Quality to suit the application

Different parts call for different qualifications and tests. stainlesstec holds ISO 9001, DIN EN ISO 3834-3, AD 2000 HP 0 and DIN 2303, among others.

Which of them matter for a project follows from material, field of use and component specification. For pressure, pharmaceutical and other quality-critical applications we agree the scope of testing and documentation before production starts. More under Quality & certifications.

What we need to assess a project

For a quick assessment the following help most:

  • drawing or STEP data
  • material
  • wall thicknesses
  • quantity
  • connections and internals
  • operating pressure and temperature, where relevant
  • surface requirements
  • product-contact areas
  • welding specifications
  • testing requirements
  • documentation required

Not everything settled in the design yet? Then we will judge from what exists which production questions should be answered early.
